Producing and Exploring in the Zacatecas Silver Distirct

Sterling began operations in Mexico, with the Baroness Silver Project in 2004. It was the first environmentally-safe thiosulphate project in Zacatecas. Sterling's President Ray De Motte and in Mexico General Manager the late Martin Sutti, spearheaded development in Mexico. The Baroness reached solid profitable commercial production, and by 2007 surface material from teh San Acacio project was also being prcoessed.

Beginning with 340 acres in 1998, by May 2008 Sterling controlled over 70,000 aces of key silver prospects. Production from the 'upper country' of the Sunshine Mine was underway and profitable, and Sterling was weeks away from profitable ongoing operatiosn from deeper levels.
